Fully rebranded in 2021 with new singer Ryan Brown, Sacramento native metalcore band TITVN(Titan) is set to make waves in 2023 with the release of their new single, The Alpha One. The band, also consisting of drummer Hugo Pulido and guitarist Hector Garcia, have been a breath of fresh air to the Sacramento music scene, slowly but surely building up a dedicated and passionate fanbase. Since their reformation, TITVN have headlined their own music festival, Titanfest, as well as being a part of multiple local shows. With the upcoming release of The Alpha One, there is no reason that their growth will stall. The song draws listeners in immediately with an infectious riff and jumps right to a neck-breaking double bass run. Brown showcases some ferocious screams in the first verse, ripping through the vocals with a purpose, letting listeners know that TITVN is out for blood. The breakdown in The Alpha One is surely a pit opener and a signal for crowd surfers to make their way to the front of the stage by any means necessary. With Pulido’s toms, the build-up creates an intense level of tension that gets unleashed when Brown, combined with Garcia’s chugs, lets loose, “I am the alpha one.” The back half of the track is pure and unbridled chaos. Clocking in at just under three minutes, The Alpha One will be a cornerstone of TITVN’s set for years to come. If you are in the Sacramento area, you need to check this band out live. If you are not in the Sacramento area, you need to make your way to it. Whether you are in the area or not, you need to listen to the song when it releases on March 17th.
